How much an Embraer Phenom 300 costs: 2026 prices and ownership
The Phenom 300 is the most liquid light jet on the market. That means two things: its price is easier to see than for most types, and selling it later will be easier. Below is the real price corridor as of August 2026, what makes it up, and what moves the price of a particular aircraft.

Asking prices above $14 million do appear on the market, but that is resale of 2026–2027 delivery slots, not the price of an aircraft. They cannot be used as a benchmark.
Data on this type is reliable: nearly a thousand aircraft in service and three dozen active listings give you statistics that simply do not exist for rare types.
How age moves the price

A good "fair price" benchmark for the mid-life bracket is a 2012 aircraft with 3 097 hours total time, upgraded avionics and a fresh interior, listed at $8.495 million. If you are offered a machine of the same generation for noticeably more, ask what exactly it has beyond that.
What moves the price of a particular aircraft
The variant. The gap between the 300 and the 300E is not cosmetic. Different avionics (Prodigy Touch based on the Garmin G3000 versus Prodigy on the G1000) and a different cabin. An early machine cannot be upgraded to 300E standard, so the difference is locked into the price for good.
Cycles, not just hours. Airframe life is 28 000 cycles. An aircraft with 4 700 hours flown on long legs and one with the same hours flown on short legs have different life remaining. Count the cycles.
Connectivity. Early aircraft have no Wi-Fi. A Gogo Avance retrofit is $200–350 thousand. If connectivity is a must, add that amount to the price of an early aircraft and compare only after that.
Cabin configuration. A belted lavatory seat or a proper lavatory compartment — on paper both count as a seat, but there is a difference in price and in comfort.
The state of the records. Standard across the whole market: gaps in the logbooks, outstanding service bulletins, unverified provenance of components. Every such item converts into money and comes off the price. "Give me a discount" loses to "here is a list adding up to this amount".
On the cost of ownership
I deliberately do not give a table of figures here, and here is why.
The purchase price is a market value, visible across dozens of listings. The cost of ownership is your value: it depends on annual flight hours, the region where the aircraft is based, the maintenance arrangement, the crew set-up and whether the aircraft sits in a hangar or out in the open. A market average does not help here, it does harm — decisions get made on it that later do not add up.
What matters is understanding the structure, not the total:
Fixed costs do not depend on the hours flown. Crew, parking, insurance, calendar maintenance checks, continuing airworthiness — all of it is paid even if the machine sits still for a whole quarter.
Variable costs follow the hours. Fuel, line maintenance, contributions to the reserves for engine and component overhaul.
Hence the main lever is annual flight hours. If fixed costs for the year come to some notional amount, then at 100 hours each hour carries a hundredth of it, and at 400 hours a four-hundredth. The same aircraft, and the hourly cost differs by a factor of four.
The practical conclusion: an aircraft sitting idle is the most expensive aircraft. Before you work out the purchase price, work out your real annual flight hours from the trips you already have, not from the ones you are planning.
It is the Phenom 300 in particular that has a reputation for low operating costs in its class — one of the reasons so many of them are bought by fractional ownership operators, where the economics are counted hard.

- Work out your annual flight hours honestly.
- Shortlist 3–5 aircraft and request the logbooks and repair history for each one before any conversation about price.
